2012

Not going to promise anything except I'll periodically post things here that I find inspiring or interesting or whatnot... as you can see I changed the name from Marvelous Bear! I figured if I'm starting this up after a year of dormancy, I might as well get a fresh name too. The name now is most likely temporary... just a favorite Beatles quote of mine...

Both Steve Madden! I love love love them... maybe my spring wardrobe needs a couple new editions.

New Beginning

Well it's been a very long time since I've posted, and after reflecting on some goals and resolutions for the New Year, I realized I enjoy doing this blog and I want to continue it. Hell, why did I even stop in the first place!? I realize I was busy, but I always was able to make time for the things I wanted to do. So now I want to blog, so I'm going to make time for it dammit! (Woo, getting out a wee bit of anger there).

Now for this post, I want to highlight some of my favorite looks from Diane von Furstenberg's Spring 2011 ready to wear collection. I loved all the color she had in the collection, and I also thought the way she used some seemingly unusual color combinations was worth the risk. Purple and orange may sound odd, but the way she paired them was brilliant. The shapes were very innovative as well. Everything from boxy silhouettes to flowing blouses and pants were present. What could have been a mumbo jumbo of shapes turned out quite nicely, in my opinion. So here we go, several of my favorite looks.

All of the looks are so beautiful and I love how she uses brown yet makes it seem like an appropriate color for spring. It's marvelous!

And one last thing before signing off for now...

Holy smokes, are these Dolce & Gabanna's stunning or what? They look quite comfortable as well, with the open heel and toe and the decent sized platform. Damn, if only these babies were in my wardrobe...

Well shit, it feels good to be posting again. Expect more from me in future! Thank you all for not giving up on Marvelous Bear! :)

It feels good to be a DAWG

Well my lovely dolls, college is now underway. This is the second/first full week of classes and I'm enjoying myself, to say the very least. I know it has been close to a zillion years since I last posted, but at least I warned you, right? And unfortunately, this post is going to very ho hum as well. I just felt the need to inform you all that yes, I am still blogging. And yes, it probably be less frequent than before. And no, I did not die.

That being said, I hope everyone is having a lovely fall and I will post an actually interesting and relevant post sometime soon. If you're reading this now, thanks for being such an awesome person. :)

Have a good Monday!

RESORT 2011

Sorry for the slow down in posts... unfortunately, I'll probably be taking a temporary hiatus from blogging because I'm leaving on Friday for UW... woo boy, this has certainly snuck up on me quickly...

In the mean time however, I would like to highlight a few Resort 2011 collections. They're all so splendid, but these were definitely some of my favorites.

And the graphics and prints at Proenza Schouler.

So lovely! Looking at these collections makes me want to take a winter vacation to Fiji or Cabo. Wouldn't that be nice?

Rue 21 tank top, Target cardigan and hat, Naf Naf pants, ShoeDazzle shoes, Ray Ban sunglasses

When fall and winter roll around, I generally wear black all the time... color isn't a super big thing in my wardrobe during the colder months, unfortunately... I think I subconsciously match my clothes to my mood.

Dries... always a pleaser. I love me some muted colors and oversized sweaters and such. (And leopard print. Mega win). One of my favorite collections from Fall 2010. I'm convinced I get harder and harder to please over the months...

Sorry for the lack of interest in this post. It's a dull day outside.
