It's been quite awhile since I posted last... I was in Mexico for the past week so I haven't had the opportunity! Anyway, while I was raving on and on about black in designers such as Proenza Shouler and Balenciaga's spring collections, I had an epiphany while in the land of warmth--spring is about warm, happy, flowy, girly, etc etc things. Which is just so convenient because there are so many designers (see Erdem, Derek Lam, Roberto Cavalli, DVF, Marni) who's collections were beautiful and ruffly and fabulous. However, that's not to say that Oscar de la Renta, John Galliano, and Giambattista Valli's collections with sprinkles of black weren't fabulous as well. I'm totally loving the variety this season!
On a different note, I bought a new ring in Mexico... I'm thinking I'm going to do a post on my ring collection. I absolutely love rings! My whole ring obsession was sparked by this stunning BCBG I got in Vegas last March... it was the beginning of an obsession to say the least. And speaking of rings, does anyone else love how some awesome fragrances (Marc Jacob's Lola, Michael Kors Very Hollywood) are coming solidified in rings!? I certainly do. :)
Hoping you all had a splendid Christmas :)

Hi Bear: I am glad you are reconsidering your view on a black wardrobe! You no doubt have noticed that I love colorful clothes, which I really think are more becoming and feminine. I adore all shades and values of pink, blue and aqua. Yellow, rust, brown and beige don't do a thing for me, so I leave them for others to wear!
ReplyDeleteI never saw a fragrance ring! Be sure to wear it next time I see you.
I found several issues of Town and Country magazine in the discard box and retrieved them to save for you. There are lots of ads for beautiful and expensive things, and pictures of celebrities attending various functions. and beautiful wedding attire. I love to look at all those lovely things, and a few not-so-lovely and unbecoming as well! xoxoxoNanny
