New Beginning

Well it's been a very long time since I've posted, and after reflecting on some goals and resolutions for the New Year, I realized I enjoy doing this blog and I want to continue it. Hell, why did I even stop in the first place!? I realize I was busy, but I always was able to make time for the things I wanted to do. So now I want to blog, so I'm going to make time for it dammit! (Woo, getting out a wee bit of anger there).

Now for this post, I want to highlight some of my favorite looks from Diane von Furstenberg's Spring 2011 ready to wear collection. I loved all the color she had in the collection, and I also thought the way she used some seemingly unusual color combinations was worth the risk. Purple and orange may sound odd, but the way she paired them was brilliant. The shapes were very innovative as well. Everything from boxy silhouettes to flowing blouses and pants were present. What could have been a mumbo jumbo of shapes turned out quite nicely, in my opinion. So here we go, several of my favorite looks.

All of the looks are so beautiful and I love how she uses brown yet makes it seem like an appropriate color for spring. It's marvelous!

And one last thing before signing off for now...

Holy smokes, are these Dolce & Gabanna's stunning or what? They look quite comfortable as well, with the open heel and toe and the decent sized platform. Damn, if only these babies were in my wardrobe...

Well shit, it feels good to be posting again. Expect more from me in future! Thank you all for not giving up on Marvelous Bear! :)

  1. Oh You Beautiful Bear - you lovely wonderful bear!! Can you hear me singing it? I am SO happy you are posting again, and hope you don't forget to keep it up - how else will I ever be able to keep abreast of the latest fashions?

That ais not to say I like them - I remember Diane Fuerstenberg (sp?) way back when she made the prettiest, most feminine dresses in her distinctive little prints. I had one in a grayed down turquoise print and wore it for years. These latest oners can't compare, in my opinion. But those shoes - I LOVE them!
