Everyone loves saving money, right? I know I certainly do. And now you can when you want your favorite designers items but don't want to drop thousands of dollars for them!
Wow, that really sounded like an advertisement... but anyway, it is really simple to find similar styles of different designer accessories for a fraction (and when I say a fraction, I mean a fraction) of the price! Here are a few things I really like. I mean, why would you want to spend over two thousand dollars on a bag when you can get something eerily similar for less than twenty five dollars?! Seriously! If you keep your eyes open, retailers like Forever 21 and ShoeDazzle (which all the less expensive items here came from) can offer some pretty snazzy stuff, ready for your budget friendly hands to snap up! Observe...
Love these Tory Burch booties but don't want to pay 350 bucks?! Then take a look at these puppies...
Forever 21, $34.50. Less than a tenth of a price! And they're super similar. The only main differences I see are the cut out and buckle on the Forever 21 booties.
Now let's say you love Gucci, and their sky-high black platforms from the Spring/Summer Ready to Wear collection have you jumping for joy! (And I mean look at them, how can you not love them?)
However, the only thing holding you back is your not even full time job at Quiznos, where you make minimum wage. You would only have to work about 150 hours to pay off the shoes! Now that's just an estimate, and keep in mind that Washington has the highest minimum wage in our nation... simply put, those babies you're lusting after would cost you quite a lot.
But never fear! You can get a shoe just as lustful and gorgeous for only.... $39.00! Less than 5 hours of work could pay for these!
This was my most recent ShoeDazzle selection. From June, I believe. If they don't look quite as high in this lovely web cam photo as the Gucci platforms do, don't be fooled. These lovelies are a whopping 5.5 inches! Probably only a half inch shorter than their more expensive cousin.
Now of course the overly expensive and the more budget friendly options aren't going to be exactly alike, but I think they're pretty damn close. And for the amount of money you could save, who even cares? After all, it's the style, not the name brand. That's always key in my personal fashion philosophy.
If you enjoyed this post (which I hope you did--it's my first time doing something like this!) tune in again tomorrow because I have a part II of the Look for Less Saga! Yes, it has a name. So make sure to check in tomorrow and read up, dolls. :)
Wishing you all the best on this lovely summer night!
xoxo Sarah

ReplyDeleteI love your posts, too - even though I don't really care for those shoes. I think the shoe should enhance the beauty of the foot and the leg. Your stick in the mud ole Nanny!

Omg, I LOVE this post :) Your newest ShoeDazzle shoes are gorgeous! I bought 2 cute pairs in England, but my favorites are these gorgeous peep-toe platform with zipper detail Jessica Simpsons. The ankle straps criss-cross over the top of your foot and tie around your ankle. LOVE. Still adoring all of your posts :)
